Super stoked on this commission/project from the North Hollywood Homie Headband and Sacramento's Own Prozk Morris. Not only is it a bunch of first for design and art for me its for the homie and I like to show out for the family. Got to get sneaks on the whole tape and it is super funky. The duo add LoFi quality to their approach of House and an arragment of past experience in other genres of production that gives this tape an exclusive sound. If you're stuck on the same old and looking for something on the exotic side follow both Headband and Prozak so you can be informed when Liquid Synth drops.
Feeling Inspired. Having Fun. Alter Identities.
Love how Central Florida always seems to open its doors to me. If you happen to be in the Tampa Area this Sunday, Feb 5th come out for the show @ The Bricks in Ybor. Been wanting to play this show for the last half year they've been running it so Ive got something cool planned for the people of Tampa.
Keeping my hands in multiple pots as always. Working on a cool series of Peanuts inspired Jazz pieces. Keep a look out for more art and music coming soon... Might post a few of these to the merch page once I get a few more painted. This one = Mines.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

With what I believe to be his 4th project, "By Any Dreams", Tampa native Gat$ delivers some of his best work to date. One of the biggest pieces of criteria I judge new music by is how relatable it is. Though we are all different individuals that experience life in many different ways being human we are all more intimately connected than one may think. Loss, doubt and insecurities plague us all at some point, adding to our fire or crumbling our foundations. "By Any Dreams" is an up and down journey of a young black male in America finding himself not only in his dreams but depression, women, the loss of his grandmother and the constant presence of social injustice on our nightly news. One thing I love about Gat$ is his ability to take you to very real dark places while simultaneously delivering a sound that refuse to give in to those same feelings and experiences. With Production credits from Black Metaphor (Dope ft. SKYXXX & Bizzy Crooks), Wrathmatics (White Lighter), TGDJ (Fools Gold/Dream Catcher), fellow Tampa locals Santos and Vern Sr. (Better Daze, Stolen Future) and a few self produced interludes (act won, act too, act rite) Gat$ delivers one of the most solid LP's Ive heard all year. Definitely take the journey and press play!
Doing what I can to make music a few times a week since dropping States in March. New music is life and I can't wait to share what I've been working on. Linking with a few artist getting my production credits up so be on the look out! #I
Down but not out...
5 Days later and some power is still out. Somethings look worse than they actually are. Big shouts to out Governor Nikki Haley for the preparedness and all the locals that acted as first responders clearing roads making this quick clean up possible. We are blessed.
One of my favorite artist at the moment, Digi of Ziplock Music, has been killing since the release of his self produced ep "White Raven". Producing fellow Ziplock MC Prolix's debut "Its A Matter of Time" lp and continuing to deliver solid instrumentation and lyrical dominance on tracks like 'Hear Nothing'. Can't lie, I'm a little late on catching #1 in his new series of tracks titled 'We Be Dilla' where the Cali native spits over remixed DIlla gold. BUT my ignorance is rewarded with this second delivery featuring fellow Cali native Chris Rose. I hear big things in the future for Digi and the whole squad over at Ziplock Music. Stay up to date with what I anticipate will be a continuing series @ www.WeBeDigi.com
I'm a foodie. I'm a hiphophead. I'm an artist and producer. And for some reason I picked up a camera at a young age and can't shake it off. Some days balancing all these sides of myself gets crazy. Today I find peace!! If you are in southern South Carolina make sure to stop by @saltusrivergrill and ask for Justin!
“This song came from a conversation about not wanting all the fame and money in the world, but instead just wanting to be able to live and be comfortable off my craft…I feel like the majority of people, whether it be creatives or entrepreneurs, are trying to live off their art or business and not work the usual 9-5 day job slaving for some corporation. We all just want a slice…no need for the whole pie…just a piece to call our own.”
A track I can completely feel. Not only a genius metaphor "Slice" is a treat for the hungry hip hopper. As a listener in todays world I don't find hiphop I relate to on the TV or Radio so the rare gem that pass my twitter feed and randomly fall into my life are most appreciated. Concept to production Tavis is making ill choices and I'm eager to hear more.
Im a big supporter of creating ones own traditions and reforming our present cultural holidays to our personal lives. Instead of cooking hotdogs on the grill and sweating my buns off in this 99/degree day I choose to celebrate our supposed freedom with a great american pastime, 'Digging'. Im fairly new to the art of digging and flipping vinyl but was once unknown has become an addiction. Monster Music & Movies in West Ashley Charleston, SC is a music lovers emporium. 1$ bins, 3$ used boxes, rows on rows of new and vintage rare vinyl... Definitely a must stop for the dust head in all of us.
I know you're probably thinking, "Its the Fourth of July! Where's the fireworks?". Don't worry, Pizza Stiks and Potatoes Wedges from Dodges. BOOM!
So much love to the homie Sam Morgan on releasing his new project 'The Color N Sound'. To give me Track 1 and introduce this album is the greatest honor. The list of artist featured on this 8 track EP is deep and filled with mad Jutsu's. Definitely click play and share!

A homie told me they were running a food truck festival over in Savannah, GA on June 5th so, living only 45mins away, I figured i'd make a day of it and check it out. Hit the paint shop for a couple cans than straight to Emmet Park to stuff my face! What is normally an odd cobblestone U shaped road used mainly for parking has now become a 14 truck amusement park filled with lines of humans waiting desperately for out of town cookery. After debating between the daunting line at Avalia (Dank Venezuelan Food) and the formation of people coagulating out front Chazito's I decided I wasn't leaving with out an Empanada or a Pressed Cuban. The choice was made. An hour of waiting in line and a thick cloud starting to float over the festivities signaled a grab a dash to the car fueled by the crunchy outside of victory and the soft warm inside of a day well spent! Cheers!
Nights spent chopping seuyyyyyy.. Making combo punches
Appreciate all the love coming in on my sound cloud. #States
