Last single drop of this self celebration is an ode to Myself, I, Corey Gipson in all his flawed beautiful wonder. Omnipresence uses the concept of ‘the all knowing‘ to reflect inward for a moment of brutal honesty. If you cant see where you’ve been wrong than you are blind. I think we all need moments of almost down right self deprecating honesty so we can see the belief systems and thought processes that are fueling how we are perceiving life. Hope you appreciate the reminder as much as I do. Enjoy.
Starting the birthday week countdown with another one from the vault featuring the all too talented, Kansas native, Stik Figa. Originally connected with Stik on a record produced by the homie Wrathmatics in 2016 and have been a fan ever since. I let this one collect dust far to long, not knowing how to tie a project together, and I apologize!!! Click the hyper link to find more music from Stik Figa and look out for another track or two dropping next week.
Track Art: Myself
Felt like putting out some music i’ve bee sitting on.
I love the music I made in 2017. Lots of very personal tracks written from than that haven’t seen the light of day. Had so much going on personally while taking on learning a handful of new art forms that I just didn’t give myself the time to create art and push a project like it deserved. I found that a lot of times the things we create aren’t for everyone and sometimes are just messages for ourselves. Self Centered, is 4 tracks about love that opened up a bigger idea about identity and recognizing ones self that I would constantly repeat over the last year or more wanting to share.
The home Justin and I have been editing some old street clips from the shop days so when this Lakai x Theories of Atlantis Re-Edit came across my IG stories I felt the need to flex a bit. Dug through my records and pulled out two classics. An A-Side cut from a somewhat unknown 70s band by the name of Robin Trower starts our evening while Yonnie demolishes the night. The sunrise gives way to the force that is Vincent Alvarez, and although it rises in the east it shines west. The deepest of cuts off Wu-Tang Clan’s 36 Chambers act as a juxtaposition to the western landscapes. The ability to reach into a bag of footage this quality makes me want to do this more often. Although i’ve spent a lot of time the past two years on my board there is a yearning to dive more into the skate industry….
October I had the pleasure of putting in some work for the homie Cousin Feo. Being privy to his plottings over the last 2 years I was excited to stretch my engineering arms and be apart of building his second EP of 2018. Creme Fraiche is a 7 track EP centered around legends of the producer, Keor Meteors, French National Team. A plethora of featured MCs form a squad similar to Voltron. Each playing their role on the field seamlessly coordinated over gritty loops and an endless supply street raps. Press play below or support the homie and cop Creme Fraiche HERE!
I haven’t painted in a little while. Figured Id start with something I love and would have fun with. SKATE SHOES!!! Classics only, please.
Es was easily one of my favorite brands back in the early 2000s when I started skating. From Koston to Penny. The Accel to the Scheme. Es in the early 2000s was the Girl & Chocolate of the skate shoe industry. The team was the best of the best. Their shoes were unique and pushed the boundaries on what skate shoes looked and felt like. Fast forward to today the same level of quality is put into the team, marketing and construction as I remember.

I first linked with the homie Feo after the release of my first EP. At the time he was writing for a music blog or two, wrote a stellar review and hit me up on social media to politic. Two years later, while working on his music series 'Inner Views: Life Behind Bars', I was blessed with a verse on my self produced project States on the track 'Poor Boy'. A trip to Cali and the southern hospitality I expected from the good folks of south Los Angeles we got to chop it up and he showed me the city like only a local could.
Super excited to share his first solo project 'A Little Caviar' produced by the talented French native Keor Meteor. Coming in at a 5 track EP and what I know to be the first of many ALC sits at 15mins of calculated lyrical strikes. Conceptualized around classic Futbol players with scratches freshly placed by DJ Dubplates and tooting a feature from one of my favorite east coast artist at the moment, Crimeapple, ALC is more than worth the tag. Hit the link below to get the reup. Limited cassette print to look out for and much more from your, and my Cousin Feo.

A rare occurrence in the southern United States. We saw this strange white shit seven years ago...ish. This time earth took the necessary steps to make sure we enjoyed the start of winter. Boredom, a stash of beats with nothing but time and I'm bound to create something.
P.S. I hate snow.
I met Lundy down in Tampa performing at a RVE show after a homie sumbitted/kinda snuck a track on their mixtape full of Florida artist. I'll always appreciate the love showed that night. Remember Lundy charging the stage to dap me up after my set or the conversations with Andrew finding out he knew the homie Feo from LA. To make a long story short life takes you were you need go and introduces you to the dope people you need to meet.
After workin on 'Crazy' Lundy asked if I could help with some mixing and being the uber cool people he is, I was completely down. Super amped on 'The Reset'. He hit the mark 1000%. Feeling more confident than ever behind the boards. Big shouts to ImJoCo for the low end banger.

Commissions have been some of my funnest projects the past two years. Linking with the homie Prozak Morris again to create a visual presentation for his upcoming LP adventure Modulations. Peep the cover and be on the look out for the custom Band Camp hosting the release!
As much as I hate the internet, I love the internet. The world shrinks once you step out a door or log in to your twitter. Through todays social media connectivity people you would otherwise never interact with can be argued with, befriended or virally persecuted. When you further divide the world and focus on the even smaller microcosm of hip hop MC's & Producers that are states away become neighbors. Killer Kane, a New Jersey Native, has been churning out a ep a month since the top of 2017. His sound is probably best described as a lofi boom bap steam engine powered by eerie horn diggs and late night anime binges. Bringing together six very different MC's, in Barry Marrow, Daniel Robbins, Khalil Mack, Big Breakfast, Sekwence and Myself, Kane creates a hip-hop jumbo. Coming in right under 15mins his 8th project of the year, Lost in Translation, is a must for the local beat heads and rap fiends. Download or Stream available now!
Im a tiny bias on this months Jamz being that I designed the Cassette art and Bandcamp page for this project but nonetheless, Liquid Synths! A 10 track EP, from the LA natives Prozak Morris & Headband, that hints a little more toward the House spectrum of sounds with hints of Lofi Hiphop loaded with, you guessed it, SYNTHS!!!! If instrumental cassettes are you're kinda drink than these guys are pouring shots all night. The mix and master on this project is so clean you could clean your glass with it to make room for the next flavor you are about to get hit with. Perfect for sunny day cruises or drinks on the beach. Digital Download or Cassettte available @ www.liquidsynths.bandcamp.com for 7$!
The balancing act of my life flows through multiple mediums of creation. This page, like my music or art, is an extension of the same creation and like most of my creative endeavors it must be spared some attention from time to time so another can grow. Of late I've struggled with writing while also feeling massive growth in production so new music is chugging along similar to that small engine that could. While swimming the seas of uncertainty and art multiple droplets of inspiration have hit my forehead recently, the most potently creative one imaged in the above photograph. 1,2. a brain child of Sacramento based Producer/MC Wrathmatics, comes as a 5 track EP featuring the title track 1,2 an Acapella, a Remix, and the Remix Instrumental. Linking with Sacramento native MANik tha MC the duo audibly paint a story of a young inspiring MC's first concert. From the anticipation of waiting in line to the tension of the room when the lights drop before the headliner, MANik takes you on a 360 of his younger self's experience. Layed over an erie flute like sample, a booming bass/kick combo and hi hat that pushes the MC along like a hot knife through butter, 1,2 delivers in all areas of correctness. Stream link below but make sure to visit 40eighty.com and peep what the homie Wrath & Manik have brewing.
Super stoked on this commission/project from the North Hollywood Homie Headband and Sacramento's Own Prozk Morris. Not only is it a bunch of first for design and art for me its for the homie and I like to show out for the family. Got to get sneaks on the whole tape and it is super funky. The duo add LoFi quality to their approach of House and an arragment of past experience in other genres of production that gives this tape an exclusive sound. If you're stuck on the same old and looking for something on the exotic side follow both Headband and Prozak so you can be informed when Liquid Synth drops.
Feeling Inspired. Having Fun. Alter Identities.
Love how Central Florida always seems to open its doors to me. If you happen to be in the Tampa Area this Sunday, Feb 5th come out for the show @ The Bricks in Ybor. Been wanting to play this show for the last half year they've been running it so Ive got something cool planned for the people of Tampa.
